Centre for Biomedical Modelling and Analysis
Centre for Biomedical Modelling and Analysis
The Centre for Biomedical Modelling and Analysis (CBMA) brought together scientists from quantitative disciplines including mathematics, computer science and physics with those from biology, biomedicine and clinical sciences to enable breakthroughs in biomedical and clinical research. With new funding, the CBMA has now evolved into TREE - the Translational Research Exchange @ Exeter.
The Centre enables scientists to develop models suited to their research. In collaborations with the the Bioinformatics Hub we provide training in basic computer programming - Unix and Perl, and in other languages such as Python and Matlab. We also offer fortnightly drop-in sessions where investigators can learn ways of developing models to better understand their research.
We can provide £10,000 for short seed corn projects, and support fully-funded six month secondment opportunities.
