Mail Room

Mail Room 

The Mail Room supports both Exeter campuses and links with the Penryn campus. The team support the majority of inbound/outbound mail and parcels for the university staff.

 

**Please be aware that the Inter-Campus Courier Service between Exeter and Penryn is temporarily suspended. All items between Exeter and Penryn will be sent via Parcelforce or Royal Mail. Please ensure items are appropriately packaged and that you have included your departments postage charge code in the top left hand corner of the envelope/package.**

Standard mail

Inbound: All standard mail is delivered daily to your building's central delivery point. More information can be found here

Outbound: Royal Mail's last collection from the Old Library is now 3:30pm each day (Monday to Friday). The last time for delivering mail to us for same day posting is 3:15pm.

In addition, the Mail Room is working with the Climate Emergency Team and Green Rewards initiative to reduce the vast amount of hard copy magazines received at the Mail Room.

 

Tracked Deliveries

All Tracked Deliveries are held at the Central Mailroom automatically.

Please refer to the email notifiction received, to find information on how to collect your item.

Please ensure you bring ID with you, when collecting parcels/letters.

 

St Luke’s

There is a daily delivery/collection to St Luke’s before 12:00 each day. 

 

Move it request

  1. Delivery/collection (on campus)                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                              If you are unable to come and collect your item from the Mail Room, please book a 'move it' request using the link above.
  2. Delivery/collection (off campus less than 10 miles)
    If you are still working from home, and live within 10 miles, we would ask that you come to campus to collect your item. If this is not practical, please use the ‘move it’ request form. We will deliver to and collect directly from your home.
  3. Delivery/collection (off campus more than 10 miles)
    Please email mailroom@exeter.ac.uk providing your home address. Items will be sent to you either by Royal Mail or ParcelForce. We can also provide remote collection from your home address back to campus, or onwards for standard mail/parcel items. Please contact us for more details.

St Lukes

Refer to points 1-3, however we will be visiting the Facilities Assistants (Porters) lodge, at 12:00 each day to collect any outbound mail and drop off any requested mail.

Penryn/Truro Intercampus Courier- **Currently Suspended**

This service is still running, which at the moment is on a Wednesday only (unless demand increases). Items need to be with us the day before to ensure they are collected. For all items that are not standard mail or small parcels, please complete a ‘move it’ request form.

 

 The Mail Room uses Pitney Bowes software for mail room operations.
