Henry Timms, a leading expert on building movements and transforming organisations, will share his journey from growing up in Exeter to the heady heights of being CEO of one of the world’s largest and most prestigious arts organisations. Timms, who is also co-author of the international bestselling book New Power, is often described as ‘wonderfully entertaining’. His compelling perspective and actionable insights on power and influence have garnered critical acclaim and intense interest in the worlds of business and academia.

In his talks, Timms deciphers the nuances of the new economy, demonstrates how to transition from the ‘old power’ world, and explains how to channel the strength of the crowds in an ultra-competitive marketplace. He unpacks the biggest stories of our time and offers a fresh lens and effective strategies for organisations of all types on how to spread ideas, build movements, transform workplaces and drive revenue.

Henry Timms is currently President and CEO of Lincoln Center – the world’s leading performing arts centre. Previously he was the President and CEO of 92nd Street Y. Under his leadership, the 144-year-old institution was named by Fast Company’s “Most Innovative Companies” list. He is the co-founder of #GivingTuesday, a global philanthropic movement that engages people in close to 100 countries that has generated over a billion dollars for good causes. He is a Hauser Visiting Leader at Harvard Kennedy School and Visiting Fellow at Stanford University.
