Join Professor Gail Whiteman, Professor of Sustainability at the University of Exeter Business School, as she talks to figures from across the political spectrum about the influence politicians at all levels can have on environmental issues such as plastic pollution, sustainable food production, biodiversity loss and green energy. We will consider the impact of policy at a local, national and global level and why young people should consider politics when looking to make a difference.

Rt Hon George Eustice MP
George Eustice is the Conservative MP for Camborne and Redruth, and has been an MP continuously since 6 May 2010. He currently holds the Government post of Secretary of State for Environment, Food and Rural Affairs.
Luke Pollard MP
Luke Pollard is the Labour (Co-op) MP for Plymouth, Sutton and Devonport, and has been an MP continuously since 8 June 2017. He currently undertakes the role of Shadow Secretary of State for Environment, Food and Rural Affairs.
Amelia Womack
Amelia has been the Deputy Leader of the Green Party of England and Wales since 1 September 2014. She works to raise awareness of local issues while campaigning for change on a national level.

Gail is Professor of Sustainability at the University of Exeter Business School and founder of Arctic Basecamp whose mission is to ‘speak science to power’. This unique project has hosted four high-level events at the World Economic Forum in Davos (2017-20).
