Abstract
The talk will give a presentation of a randomized wait list control trial of MBCT for recurrent depression carried out at the University of Bergen, Norway. We will first present how self-reports on different measures replicated effects found in previous studies of MBCT on recurrent depression and extended findings involving emotion regulation and self-compassion. Thereafter, we will focus on effects of MBCT on different aspects of attention, such as attentional control and fluctuations, and how these effects relates to changes in self-reports of depression, rumination, and dispositional mindfulness.
