Abstract
Researchers whose projects are in development will be presenting to an audience who will then provide constructive, helpful feedback. This event is in line with the first AHRC deadline of this academic year: 19th October.
Audience Members:
Anyone is welcome and encouraged to attend to hear what research ideas are happening in the HASS community and help to provide feedback/make collaborations. We encourage those outside of HASS to attend, as you will be able to offer a fresh perspective which presenters will be keen to hear, and research projects may be cross-faculty/interdisciplinary.
Please register your interest in attending as an audience member here.
Presenters:
The session will be a supportive environment where candidates are asked to give a short (5min) presentation on their proposed research idea. A panel of experienced academics will then have 10mins to ask questions and to give feedback on the idea.
Confirmed presenters:
Jana Funke (English and Creative Writing): '100 Years of The Well of Loneliness'
Heike Roms (Communications, Drama and Film): 'A Place to Experiment: The Limits and Possibilities of Art School 1962-1992'
Benedict Morrison (English and Creative Writing): 'Finding innovative ways to explore and communicate an eco-queer praxis'
This event will take place in the Knightley Boardroom, but will also be hybrid for those based in Cornwall or who cannot otherwise attend in person.
