Finding the Way to better Research Culture: Improving Retention and Success of Academics from Underrepresented Backgrounds
A workshop by Dr Lucy Yeomans (School of Education) and Dr Sanja Djerasimovic (School of Education)
This workshop focusses on the impact of research culture on academics from underrepresented backgrounds in terms of gender, social class, ethnicity, and other sociocultural features. Drawing on new research and wider literature, participants will improve their understanding of the intersection of challenges faced by these groups and generate new ideas to improve their retention and success.
