The CYP Wellbeing @Exeter Research Network are pleased to invite you to the next seminar in our seminar series with Dr Amberly Brigden, Lecturer in Digital Health within the Faculty of Engineering, University of Bristol.

Event details

Abstract

Just-in-Time Adaptive interventions (JITAIs) use technologies such as smartphones and smartwatches to provide the right type of support at the right time, adapting support to an individual's state and context. In this presentation, I will give an overview of JITAIs and the challenges and opportunities of this new digital intervention design.

Amberly’s research focuses on the development and evaluation of complex digital health interventions to support children with chronic health conditions. This has included designing wearable, virtual reality, and machine learning-based interventions for conditions including paediatric fatigue, pain, sleep disorders and oncology. Her research methods include qualitative co-design approaches and clinical trial design, with a focus on delivering research in collaboration with patients, charities, and NHS partners.

Event: Thursday 14th December 1:00-2:00pm Live at St Luke’s Campus Baring Court room 128 or via live stream at Penryn Campus Peter Lanyon seminar room 4 and Streatham Peter Chalk room 2.4. Tea, coffee and biscuits will be available at all three venues.
