Abstract
A RECORDING OF THIS EVENT IS NOW AVAILABLE HERE.
Children are our nation’s most precious resource; They are the key to our future prosperity. So every child needs to be seen as a human citizen now and to be given every support and civil entitlement to become the productive adults and competent parents of the future. But even those who through disability or disadvantage may not be able to become so deserve the very best investment to be able to fulfil her/his full potential. There is incontrovertible evidence that British children have been and still are being betrayed on a grand scale with outcomes amongst the worst in the developed world. This presentation asks why is this the case and what’s to be done focussing especially on the important role that leading academic centres should have in being effective advocates for the best interests of children.
Event: Tuesday 19th March 11:35- 12:25 Live at St Luke’s Campus, South Cloisters Room 3.06. Live Streamed to Streatham Campus, The Forum Seminar 04 or via Teams.
