GSI Reports at COP28 - Global Tipping Points Report

The Global Tipping Points Report was launched at COP28 on 6 December 2023. The report is an authoritative assessment of the risks and opportunities of both negative and positive tipping points in the Earth system and society. It is the work of more than 200 researchers from over 90 organisations in 26 countries

In this seminar, Section leads, Dr David Armstrong Mckay (Section 1 Earth System Tipping Points), Dr Joshua Buxton (Section 2 Tipping Point Impacts) and Dr Steve Smith (Section 3&4 Positive Tipping Points) will provide a summary of the report’s key message and give an overview of their respective chapters before leading audience Q&A.
