Hosted by the Justice and Violence Studies @ Exeter Network, in collaboration with the Centre for Advanced International Studies, this workshop will be an exciting day of discussion with colleagues, including:

- Ross McGarry (Liverpool, Criminology)
- Margot Tudor (City, History and IR)
- Henrique Furtado (UWE, Politics and IR)
- Hannah Richards (Cardiff, Politics and IR)
The programme includes:
- Panel session: Recognising and acknowledging international state violence.
- Panel session: Limits of accountability for policing.
- Roundtable: Military social harm: a new agenda for research.
- Launch of the Critical Military Studies special issue 'Making sense of state violence: understanding public inquiries as political devices'.
- Wine reception.
