2024 Exe-X South West Alumnae Group Networking and Q&A with Devon and Cornwall Police and Crime Commissioner Alison Hernandez

Join us in the elegant surroundings of Reed Hall where we are delighted to host a reception and Q&A with Devon and Cornwall PCC Alison Hernandez. Our evening will begin with wine and canapés over chat with fellow female graduates. This will be followed by a talk from Alison about her career path, experiences and priorities as a PCC followed by an opportunity to put your questions to her with a Q&A session.

Event details

Born, raised and living in Torquay, Alison first became a Conservative PCC in 2016 and is elected by the public to hold the police force of Devon, Cornwall and the Isles of Scilly to account on their behalf. She was re-elected in May of this year for a third term. As well as holding national portfolios for roads policing/safety and digital public contact, Alison is a strong believer in encouraging more women in public life. She is a graduate of Kingston University and Plymouth Business School and has worked across the UK, Singapore and Australia running her own management consultancy business. Her talk will include an account of her career path, issues around female leadership and some of the specific challenges of policing Devon and Cornwall.
