2025 St Luke's: The Great 50th Reunion

Did you graduate from St Luke's between 1973 and 1982? If so, a group of ex-Lukies' are planning THE GREAT 50th REUNION for all subject areas.

Event details

A few alumni have got together to plan a fantastic weekend in Exeter, April 25th/ 26th/ 27th 2025 Easter weekend. We hope as many ex-students as possible can get together to meet up and remember a fantastic 3 or 4 years together.

Friday 25th April

  • 3pm - Early Arrivals and informal get togethers plus tours of the Luke’s Campus
  • 6pm to 7.30pm - The University is hosting a drinks reception on Friday evening at the Cross Keys (in what was the ‘Old College Bar’, Reg’s bar no longer there)

Saturday 26th April

  • 11am - During the day we have arranged tours of the Luke’s Campus, for those that couldn’t make the Friday tour

Additionally, Exeter City play at home to Huddersfield, so footie lovers can take in Taggy’s team. We'll have details of how you can book tickets so that you are with other ex Lukies shortly. Rugby – unfortunately both the Chiefs and the University first XV are playing away. There will be university sport taking place on campus at the sports centre and much changed facilities at the top of the hill. Plenty to do in Exeter though, in revisiting parts of the city, old haunts, walks, local golf courses, Quay side activities, and a general relax.

  • 6.30pm until midnight - DINNER at REED HALL UNIVERSITY CAMPUS for 150 people. The cost will be £65.00 per head to include a drink on arrival, 3 course dinner, music and revelry. There will also be a coach to pick up and drop off from 3 hotels in the city - Leonardo Hotel, Southernhay House, and outside Central Train Station. From informal chats, we know people are keen to sit in friendship groups per table and that is in the plan for the evening. Let us know who you would like on your table. There will be a meal, entertainment, a DJ as part of the package, not promising Suzi Quattro et al though!

Sunday 27th April

Further Reunions and farewell get togethers. Continuing on from Saturday, we hope individual groups will continue to visit places special to them. We will have an up-to-date list of recommended pubs and restaurants to share separately. There are so many things to do now, from the river and canal to theatres, the cathedral, and walks.

Accomodation

There is no accommodation available on campus, so we recommend the following where many offer discounts to Alumni https://www.exeter.ac.uk/alumnisupporters/benefits/discounts/ or you could use sites such as Booking.com to get great rates: The Leonardo, The Mercure Exeter, the Southernhay House Hotel, The Holiday Inn Express City Centre, The Premier Inn Centre, Hotel Indigo, The Premier Inn - St. Davids, The Mercure Exeter Rougemont, and the Town House.

We hope it should be a fantastic weekend with Exeter having so much to offer. Please formally register your attendance by selecting which parts of the weekend you will be attending based on the planned itinerary

IMPORTANT: BOOKING NOTE

If you are going to attend ANY element of this event, please ensure that you have added the GENERAL ADMISSION ticket option to your basket. You will then need to select any of the other elements that you wish to attend.
