EGENIS seminar: "A Relational Theory of Health for Microbiome Science", Prof Andrew Inkpen (Mount Allison University, Canada)
Egenis seminar series
Microbiome scientists, and the humanities scholars influenced by them, typically describe the relation between microorganisms and human health either in terms of an ecosystem health perspective or an ecosystem services perspective. In this talk, I’d like to suggest that a relational perspective provides a conceptual middle ground and has some advantages over the other two ways of thinking.
