PenCHORD Seminar, Showcase and Workshop 7: Live Simulation

The 7th PenCHORD Seminar, Showcase and Workshop event is themed around Live Simulation.

Live Simulation is a modelling approach that uses real people acting out their own roles in a process in real time, in order that elements of the process can be discussed and changes tested live in a simulated environment.

Event details

We are delighted to announce that Andrew Fordyce (Consultant Oral and Maxillofacial Surgeon, Clinical Systems Engineer and Deputy Director of the Horizon Institute, Torbay Hospital) will be giving a talk about the Live Simulation work that he headed in 2011, which led to significant improvements to the clinical pathway for fractured neck of femur patients.

In addition, for our afternoon workshop we will be offering an opportunity for participants to take part in a Live Simulation, in order that you can see how this innovative method of simulation works, and how this might be applied in your own organisations.

As always, attendance at this event is free-of-charge, and we offer a complementary lunch and refreshments throughout the day.

Capacity is limited; if you would like to attend please book a place via this link.
