Abstract
The talk will address the role that carnitine plays in metabolism in both health and disease.
Dr Stephens research focusses on the role of carnitine metabolism and nutrition in health and disease and would be applicable for our department as well as colleagues in the medical school/biosciences. www.nottingham.ac.uk/life-sciences/people/francis.stephens
Dr Francis Stephens, a Senior Lecturer in Molecular Nutrition at the Medical School at University of Nottingham from the University of Oxford, will be giving a seminar titled: "Skeletal muscle carnitine availability and the regulation of fuel selection".
