SWARM Myth-Busting Session

The University has been using SWARM as a means of recording Academic Workload Planning data for a number of years now, but there are still some myths surrounding its purpose and use within the University.  

This hour long open meeting for staff explains why SWARM is valuable to the University in providing a broad-brush method for allocating workload in a transparent and equitable fashion.

It will also detail how we intend to use SWARM to provide data for TRAC purposes so we can better understand the extent to which we are recovering the full economic cost of our activities and therefore costing time appropriately for external funding of research, and also understanding the true cost of all of our teaching programmes. I will also dispel any notion that SWARM is a tool for performance management or any other purpose, which it is not. 

This is an opportunity to hear at first-hand how the University views SWARM and to ask questions on anything about SWARM that concerns you.
