Dr Toby Pavey, Centre for Research on Exercise, Physical Activity and Health (CRExPAH); The University of Queensland, will be giving a seminar titled: 'Sit less, move more!'.
This seminar will examine outcomes from an Australian National Health and Medical Research Council (NHMRC) Program Grant, which focuses on understanding, measuring, and influencing physical activity and sedentary behaviour for improved health outcomes. The presented evidence will also be reviewed within the context of the new Australian physical activity guidelines released in 2014.
Biography
Dr Toby Pavey completed his PhD at the University of Exeter in 2010, and is currently a Research Fellow at the Centre for Research on Exercise, Physical Activity and Health (CRExPAH); The University of Queensland. His current research involves behavioural epidemiology, intervention trials, and evaluation of measurement tools.
