Event details
The large volumes of information held in electronic health records offer potentially transformative opportunities for research, clinical audit and service development; however, there are formidable challenges in data governance, and in the data structure – particularly where information is in narrative rather than structured format.
The Clinical Record Interactive Search (CRIS) resource, developed at the South London and Maudsley Trust, has addressed these issues, providing a platform where de-identified information is rendered available for researchers and clinicians within a patient-led governance framework, and supplemented by natural language processing applications to extract structured information from text fields.
Please convene at 12:50 for a prompt start.
