Event details
The theme for this session is Grounded Practice: Putting the 'self' back in self-evaluation. Dr Dave Walters (Deputy Head, Clyst Vale Community College) will lead the session with a short informal presentation and then the session will open up for discussion (relevant readings are attached). The following questions will be considered during the discussion:
- What data sources are routinely used by schools to promote school improvement and how might we add to them?
- How are these data sources used by teachers and leaders?
- How might the process of self-evaluation move more towards evaluative research and contribute to the professional learning of teachers and leaders?
We hope you will be able to join us in what we hope will be a fruitful and interesting discussion.
Professors' Vivienne Baumfield and Karen Mattick
Co-leaders, Centre for Research in Professional Learning (CRPL)
