Event details
Two years in to the Sustainable Intensification Research Platform (SIP) and much has changed in UK agriculture since the programme was conceived in 2013. Despite this, the concept of ‘sustainable intensification’ is an enduring one, remaining both as relevant and controversial as it was at the beginning of the decade. This seminar examines the progress and pitfalls so far of Project 2 of the SIP (Opportunities and Risks for Farming and the Environment at Landscape Scales) from a project manager perspective, exploring the some of the breakthroughs made and reflecting on working with such a large consortium. SIP 2 is a key strategic project for LEEP, with many of the staff involved in some way, and we now start to look towards building a legacy for the Platform in terms of information, infrastructure and impact.
