Join us for the launch event of our new Pg Cert in Healthcare Leadership and Management which is aligned to the national framework for action on improvement and leadership development, Developing People – Improving Care. This is a collaboration between the University of Exeter Medical and Business Schools and aims to develop compassionate, inclusive and effective healthcare leaders.
The masterclass is delivered by Professor Keith Grint and Dr Clare Holt and is based on their joint paper ‘Followership in the NHS’ commissioned by The King’s Fund in 2011.
The aims of the day are to:
- Explore the fundamentals of healthcare leadership
- Examine the concept of followership and how it relates to leadership
- Introduce the concept of wicked problems and how they relate to healthcare
- Understand the concept of a clumsy solution and when they are appropriate
