Dynamical systems, control and optimisation
Prediction, control and optimisation within energy systems is central to their safe and efficient functioning. Research within this theme encompasses mathematical approaches to understanding complexity in dynamical energy systems, the development of digital control of power electronics for distributed energy sources and hybrid vehicles, and the governance of complex energy systems.
This theme involves researchers from across the Centre of Mathematics and the Environment, and the Electrical Power Systems research group.
