People, communities and local energy
Energy systems are shaped by the actions of individuals and households, and innovation within energy systems is increasingly occurring at the local level. Research in this theme focuses on energy consumption and generation in households and communities, the role of the public and local actors in shaping energy system change, and the development of business models focused on local energy supply.
This theme involves researchers from the Energy Policy Group, the Environmental & Sustainability Group, Politics, the Business School and Renewable Energy.
