Sustainability of energy systems
Energy systems impact upon the wider environment at multiple scales. Work in this theme examines the environmental sustainability of energy systems as related to climate, water, land, food, and mineral resources, and incorporates research on waste management and waste heat recovery, bioenergy, the nexus of water-energy-food-land-climate systems, and the circular economy.
This theme involves researchers from the Energy, Environment & Economy research group, the Sustainable Circular Economy research cluster, the Energy Policy Group, the Land, Environment, Economics and Policy Institute, Biosciences, and Camborne School of Mines.
