If you don't have a smartphone you can use the MyExeter web app. This web app isn't as developed as the app that you will find on the app stores, but it has all the essential features you'll need.

In app stores you might also see ‘iExeter’. This is our old app. Please only use MyExeter unless you’re specifically told to use iExeter's one-time-code function (see ‘Do I still need to use iExeter’ below).

What can MyExeter do?

Here are some of the features of MyExeter. You'll notice that the app is continuously being improved and updated based on insight and feedback:

Keep on top of your timetable

View your personal academic timetable in a user-friendly format. Get real time information on class times, locations, and durations. Navigate the campus with way-finding tools or use the link to join online sessions.

Find study spaces that suit you

Take a look at the study spaces available near you, both bookable and drop-in. Utilise the variety of spaces and take your studying to new locations.

Discover what’s on

Receive in-app University information and updates from teams around the campuses. Visit the events tab to see the wide range of events taking place on and off campus.

Stay connected

Get easy access to the Exeter Learning Environment, the Student Record System, and your emails. Find a handy list of student support available and the campus facilities on offer.

Check-in

Some students are required to register their attendance, for example student visa holders. If you are asked to register your attendance using the MyExeter app, use the check-in button during your teaching sessions via My Day.

How do I get support with using MyExeter?

For support with using MyExeter, contact the IT Helpdesk by phone (01392 725050) or by raising an incident

If you're on campus, visit the Digital Hub for face-to-face support in Exeter or Cornwall.

You may also provide feedback or report issues via the feedback form found within the MyExeter app, or using the iPads located at the Info Points on each campus.

Do I still need to use iExeter?

There are some Students who may still need to use the one-time-code check-in function within the old iExeter app for a period of time while we work with the relevant departments to migrate everything across to the new MyExeter app. Only if you are informed that this impacts you by your lecturer or programme office, should you use iExeter app for this function.

Some international visa holders may be asked to use both apps to log attendance for now - MyExeter's Check-in feature to report visa compliance, and iExeter's one-time-code to report attendance if required by your programme.

iExeter can be downloaded for free from the Apple App Store or Google Play, or accessed via the desktop version here.
