Fulbright Scholarships: Postgraduate Student Awards - 2025/26 competition

The Fulbright – University of Exeter Postgraduate Award is available to US graduate students who are Masters or Doctoral candidates wishing to study at the University of Exeter. The award takes the form of a tuition fee waiver for the first year of full-time graduate study (either Masters or PhD) and a living stipend of £18,563 (2024/25 rate).

We also accept scholars in receipt of Fulbright 'Open Awards' (also referred to as the All Disciplines Award).

How to apply

Applicants must apply to both Fulbright and their university separately. For this reason, it is recommended to make your programme application well in advance of the deadline for the Fulbright application. (If you are made a programme offer, the offer letter serves as the 'affiliation' letter.)

The Fulbright US Student Program portal is open for applications and closes on Wednesday 8 October 2024 at 5 pm Eastern Time (the year prior to scholars' intended start date). Candidates typically receive the outcome of their scholarship application by the end of April after which Fulbright issue documentation to the successful candidates in readiness for programmes starting in September / October 2025.
