Prioritise water conservation
Water is precious, please don’t waste it!
If you want to do your part to reduce the amount of water used on campus, please follow the following advice:
- Use deionised and purified water only when necessary – it takes 3 litres of tap water to produce 1 litre of deionised water!
- When rinsing labware, use a low flow
- When filling up containers, don't leave the tap running unattended
- Run water-consuming equipment such as autoclaves and glass washers with full loads
- Report leaks and faulty taps to your Technical/Estates team straight away
