Recent projects supported by the Alumni Annual Fund

Our Alumni Annual Fund supports the extra-curricular activities that help to make Exeter such a fantastic place to study. Funded by thousands of alumni and supporters of the University, donations are used to enhance the student experience. Grants are given to sports clubs, societies, music groups, theatre productions, student conferences and community outreach projects, to name just a few. New Recovery Equipment for High Performance Sports

The Athletics Union purchased new equipment to help student athletes recover from the intense demands of high-level sport, as well as supporting those undergoing injury rehabilitation.

New Computers for Surf Radio Falmouth

Surf Radio, based on the Penryn campus in Cornwall, purchased new computers, enabling them to broadcast with greater ease and efficiency to students.

British Film Institute (BFI) London Film Festival Visit

Members of the XTV station travelled to London to watch and report on newly released films, and mingle with industry professionals in the British Film Institute (BFI). 

Go Hard or Go Home Dance Competition

The SU Cornwall’s Dance and Tap Jam Societies competed at the ‘Go Hard or Go Home’ National University Dance Competition in Nottingham.

Playing Kit for Rugby Bottle Match

The Annual Fund supported new playing kit for the annual rugby match between Camborne School of Mines and the Royal School of Mines.

Audio equipment and giveaways for Ramadan Iftar Event

The Annual Fund supported audio equipment and giveaways for a multicultural Ramadan Iftar event, fostering a sense of community for our Muslim students.

South East Asian Spring Ball

The Annual Fund enabled students from six South-East Asian Societies to hold a celebratory event at Exeter Castle, where students could celebrate their heritage and forge stronger networks.

New Radios for Sailing Club

The Sailing Club purchased three new VHF radios, which will greatly enhance students’ safety on sailing trips.

New Balls for Women's Rugby

Exeter’s 120-strong Women's Rugby Club were able to purchase a bundle of new rugby balls which will be used at training and matches.
