Wouldn't it be great if...
You had an app which handled your University experience from start to finish, whether you're just applying, about to graduate, or a member of staff?
That's our goal: to design an app for the whole University community, using the latest technology to give you a personalised experience from start to finish.
Shape the design of our new app
We’ve been working on an app that puts handy info and support at your fingertips.
It's still in the early stages. We need your feedback so that we can design future releases and updates with you in mind.
The app is open to Penryn students for testing
Come and speak to us at the Digital Hub in the Library IT Suite to find out more.
The features we're designing for our first version were informed by research we did with students, including interviews, survey results, and focus groups:
- My Day - This feature gives you an overview of the lectures, seminars and study bookings in your day ahead.
- Info - Helps you access the resources you need, it includes a checklist, chatbot & resource lists.
- Study Space - Helps you find and book spaces to study on campus.
We've spent time getting the nuts and bolts of the app working, so that we can add more features designed for you.
In Digital we run regular paid focus groups. Register your interest.
The app is already available to Penryn Campus students* to test. Speak to us at the Digital Hub in the IT Suite to find out more!
*other people with a University of Exeter account can test too, but the app content we're using is aimed at Penryn students.
Our students in Penryn can already test an early version of the app by signing up at the Digital Hub. Once we've ironed out the creases and squashed the big bugs, we'll prepare for a wider rollout to students across the University.
Eventually we want the app to serve the whole University community.
The app is a Progressive Web App (PWA). That sounds cool, right? It means you can use the app on any device or web browser, and you can also install the app to your phone, tablet or computer's home screen.
Because it's a PWA, you can't find the app on the Play Store or App Store yet. We want to get the basic features right, and then watch this space!
We are working on including a Discover feature to post news, events, updates, and results from sports fixtures. We'd like to bring maps in, to help navigate our campuses too.

Yes, you should continue to use iExeter. It has lots of things this app doesn't yet, from ELE to bin days!
