Built Estate Team
Ian Millar - Assistant Director Built Environment
Ian manages a team of assistant surveyors, surveyors and senior surveyors and clerk of works supporting the University's capital and long term maintenance programmes.
Ian has responsibility for the University's built estate, including business rates, strategic planning, implementation of minor works and planning and delivery of substantial long term/backlog maintenance.

Helen Wallace - Head of Space and Design
Helen provides specialist advice and service that supports all aspects of the use of space including layout, furniture and building data management. This also includes developing and delivering strategic action plans for improvements in the effective and sustainable use of space. Acting as a change agent to deliver such improvements, whilst maintaining and enhancing the student experience and the working environment.

Mark John - Project Manager
Senior Project Manager acting as client PM ,liaising and coordinating with end users, designers, consultants and contractors on the delivery of large capital projects and long term maintenance projects. These have included the ESE Hubs in South Cloisters, Building One and Queens Buildings, Washington Singer, Peter Chalk and Amory at, £6.5m, with asbestos removal and long term maintenance woks in Harrison currently budgeted at £9m.

Sue Williams - Senior Project Manager
Senior Project Manager acting as client PM and liaising with end users, designers, consultants and contractors on large capital projects in excess of £3m. These have included delivery of Business School ‘Building One’ and Streatham Court refurb £24m, Sports Park development £15m, Newman Lecture Theatre upgrades £3.5m, ARC Zebrafish project £3.5M and most recently Living Systems Institute £52M. All as part of the £450M development programme overseen by Estates Services.
