David Hancock is a researcher and project evaluator based in Exeter Innovation’s Regional Engagement Team. David’s PhD was in political philosophy and cultural economy and he has published widely in these areas. In recent years, David has focused on policy research and project evaluations at Buckinghamshire New University and now within Exeter Innovation’s Regional Engagement Team, where he has focused on projects in the local economy. Through this work he has developed an excellent understanding of both the wider regional economy and its politics. He has evaluated projects in different areas, including health and social care, digital skills and innovation for different clients, including EDRF and SPF projects. David has recently researched and written a skills escalator for Adult Social Care in Devon and was a researcher on the Devon Housing Commission, as well as being a co-author of the final report.
