About me:
Role

Emily is the Head of Student Entreprenuership, and leads the Student Startup team at the University of Exeter. Emily works closely with academic and professional services colleagues across all Faculties to foster an entrepreneurial culture across all campus', to broaden access to entrepreneurial education and skills development and to nurture and develop student and graduate startup business’.

Emily designed and co-delivers a comprehensive programme of activities, including workshops, expert panels and other events, to equip students with the toolkit necessary to validate and test an idea and launch a new venture. She also works 1-2-1 with students and has developed a broad network of contacts both in Exeter, the UK and Internationally, who can be called upon for additional support and mentoring. She co-created a new evaluation framework to measure the deeper value and impact of the extra-curricular entrepreneurship porgramms she leads at the University of Exeter. This framework has been presented at conferences both in the UK and internationally and work is underway to license this framework to other institutions and incubators.

Emily is the Chair of the Student Enterprise practise group within the SETsquared partnership, developing collaborative projects and programmes to further support student and graduate entrepreneurs.

Emily also oversees the Innovation Hub in Exeter City Centre and is keen to continue developing connections between the University and the wider business community in and around Exeter to further support and enrich the support available to students and recent graduates.
