Role

Jodie's role is to build partnerships within the cultural sector in Cornwall, and enable collaboration and research opportunities with the University of Exeter. Jodie works with a diverse range of academics and partners. Within her role, she provides support to the Institute of Cornish Studies and the Centre for Environmental Arts and Humanities. Jodie has recently been involved in a high profile research project focusing on sustainable fashion and policy development.

Profile

Before taking up the post within the University in 2010, Jodie worked as a Research Fellow for PRIMaRE. During her post with PRIMaRE she developed and undertook research exploring stakeholder perceptions and acceptability of marine renewable energy.

In 2008 Jodie completed her PhD at the University of Exeter. Her thesis focused on the impact of society and worldviews on stakeholder acceptability of renewable energy.

Prior to her PhD, Jodie worked for the Devon Association for Renewable Energy as a Director. Within this role Jodie was responsible for delivering a number of renewable energy projects and training events, in addition to securing funding for research and development.
