About me:
I work across the University's Environmental Intelligence portfolio, supporting the application of data science and artificial intelligence (AI) to urgent environmental and sustainability challenges, and the development of Exeter as a key place for ‘AI for the environment’ in the UK and beyond
Working at the interface between the University and the 'real world', my responsibilities include supporting the strategic development of Exeter's Environmental Intelligence research and innovation capabilities and activity, and identifying and developing opportunities for funding, income generation, industry / non-academic partnerships and research collaboration, translation and impact.
In particular I work closely with the University's UKRI Centre for Doctoral Training in Environmental Intelligence: Data Science and AI for Sustainable Futures and our Joint Centre for Excellence in Environmental Intelligence (JCEEI) with the Met Office.
I also manage the University’s relationship with IBM and am the Exeter Innovation contact for Business Engagement and Innovation in the Departments of Mathematics and Statistics.
