Overview
With a background in cross-sector collaboration and third sector strategy and engagement, Kirsty has a passion for developing impactful partnerships that reach a wide range of audiences to maximise innovation and the social value and economic impact of our work.
Working within the Business School as part of Exeter Innovation, her work is currently focussed on the Developing Business-Aware Academics project, developing a programme of activity that offers doctoral and early-career researchers (across all disciplines) knowledge, skills, and networking opportunities to engage effectively with industry. Working with partners across academia, industry and policy to champion the advantages of collaboration to maximise economic and social impact.

Outside of her University of Exeter work, Kirsty runs her own small business, The Nature Nurture, hosting nature connection sessions for dog owners and their canine companions supporting wellbeing through forest therapy and demonstrating how animals have the innate ability to self-select, ingest and topically apply natural herbs, oils and plant matter to support their emotional and physical health through a behaviour called zoopharmacognosy.
To support this work, Kirsty is an IAAT registered zoopharmacognosist and also a certified mental health first aider (MHFA).
