The Immersive Studio

Who we are:

Sitting within the Learning Development Team, the Immersive Studio is a dynamic and innovative group dedicated to transforming teaching and learning through immersive multimedia experiences. The team specialises in professional video creation; from studio and location filming to bespoke animation - helping to create visually interesting and engaging content for the University’s learners. By integrating these technologies into the curriculum, the team aims to enhance student engagement, facilitate deep learning, and prepare students for future challenges in an increasingly digital world.

What we do:

You can view the team’s video showreel below, showcasing the variety of video content they have produced for past projects. If you would like to find out more information about the different types of video that they can produce, then you can find this on the Case Studies page.

As well as video content, the team also works on a whole range of other immersive technologies including 3D scanning/modelling, stop motion animation, 360 videos/environments and VR videos. With all these technologies, the team is always looking to create resources that not only increase engagement but also reinforce the learning objectives - while always ensuring that there are no barriers for accessibility.

Working with you:

The Immersive Studio predominantly works on the University’s Online Programmes and if you are working on one of these courses then they can guide you through the entire process of creating your engaging multimedia activities. However, where time and resources allow, they are sometimes able to take on other video projects across the University, albeit at a small cost (this is just to cover their time). If you have a project outside of Online Programmes and you’re interested in whether we can help, then please get in touch and they can advise on availability and a quote for their time.
