Gypsy, Roma and Traveller History Month
Celebrating Gypsy, Roma and Traveller Communities
Gypsy, Roma, Traveller History Month (GRTHM) celebrates the richness that Gypsy, Roma and Traveller communities bring to peoples everyday lives here in the UK, and the many and varied contributions they have made to British Society. GRTHM started in Brent in 2001 and became a national celebration in 2008. The month aims to raise awareness, explore the history, culture and language of communities, help to challenge myths, tackle prejudice and offer balanced debate.
