Overview

  • This UK degree transfer program is for Malaysian students at Brickfields Asia College only, for direct entry into year 2 of LLB Law (M108) or year 3 (M112) of LLB Law.

Entry requirements

1+2 Second Year Entry

1+2 Entry Requirements: Pass all subjects with an average of 50% in Y1 at BAC.

IELTS at least 6.5 and no less than 6.0 in any other section.
SPM English 1119 exam can be accepted in lieu of IELTS (but must have been completed no more than seven years prior to enrolment).

TOEFL PBT at least 570 and an Essay Rating of at least 4.0.

TOEFL IBT at least 100 with minimum scores of 21 for writing, 21 for listening, 22 for reading and 23 for speaking.

MALAYSIAN CAMBRIDGE ENGLISH SYLLABUS CIE 1119 (before 2021) At least English 1119 C.

MALAYSIAN SPM (CEFR-aligned English language exam – after 2021) B2 overall with B2 in all components.

Pearson Test of English (Academic) PTE and Pearson Test of English (Academic) PTE online, 67 with no less than 64 in all communicative skills.

2+1 Final Year Entry

Pass all subjects with an average of 50% in Y1, and a minimum of 60% in year 2.

IELTS at least 6.5 and no less than 6.0 in any other section.

Course content

Summary

In Exeter you will take modules adding up to 120 credits each year. In your third year, you may also choose to take 30 credits in a subject outside law, subject to prior approval.

Tuition fees for 2024 entry

£23,700 per year

The Brickfields-Exeter Scholarship has 2 awards based on year of entry.

Students entering in Year 2 will be eligible for a £4,000 scholarship.

Students entering in Year 3 will be eligible for a £2,500 scholarship.

Our LLB programmes provide an excellent start to a legal career if that is your goal, equipping you with the knowledge and skills that will support you towards the next steps to professional legal qualification. This includes the 'foundations of legal knowledge' subjects required for the academic stage of qualification as a barrister. If you plan to qualify as a solicitor or barrister, after you graduate you will need to comply with the further training and other requirements of the Solicitors Regulation Authority or the Bar Standards Board, or the relevant regulatory body in the country in which you intend to practice.
