Institute for Data Science and Artificial Intelligence 

The University of Exeter Institute for Data Science and Artificial Intelligence (IDSAI) provides a hub for data-intensive science and artificial intelligence (AI) activity within the University and the wider region.

 

Centre for Cultures and Environments of Health 

Together, members of the Centre explore how experiences of health, illness and medical knowledge are shaped by cultural practices and beliefs, and investigate how evidence from the humanities and social sciences can be used to help to develop and evaluate innovative and effective public health initiatives.

Centre for Rural Policy Research 

The Centre for Rural Policy Research is home to an inter-disciplinary team of social scientists focusing on all aspects of the rural economy and society. While much of our research focuses on and is conducted in the United Kingdom, we also have an interest in rural issues around the world, especially in Europe.

Q-Step Centre for Computational Social Science (C2S2)

The Centre promotes education and research in the interdisciplinary field of computational social science, which combines scientific methods, statistical techniques, Artificial Intelligence, and machine learning to gain actionable insights from big data.

The centre is dedicated to researching the nature, historical precedents, and philosophical, social, and scientific implications of the modern biosciences. Internationally recognised for its strongly interdisciplinary research culture, Egenis pioneers new approaches to understanding all aspects of the life sciences — whether the effects on families of mental health diagnoses, the classification of microbes, or the impact of open data on researchers in low-resource environments.
