I-THRIVE Hub Workshops & Closing Event
Following the two kick-off events towards the end of last year, we are excited to invite you to the I-THRIVE Hub Workshops and Celebration Event.
What is the I-THRIVE Hub?
The Interdisciplinary Translational Health and Wellbeing Research & International Visionary Exchange (I-THRIVE) Hub is a new collaborative initiative between the University of Exeter (UoE) and the University of Queensland (UQ) designed to build sustained research collaborations between UoE and UQ, with a focus on translational health and wellbeing research.
Supported by QUEX Institute workshop funding, I-THRIVE brings together researchers working at any stage of the translational pathway of health and wellbeing research. Together, we will explore challenges and innovations across three key themes:
- Digital Health – Advancing technology-driven solutions for health and wellbeing
- Innovations in Measurement – Developing novel tools and methods for assessing health impacts
- Challenges in Implementation – Overcoming barriers to translating research into practice
Why Attend the Workshops?
These interactive workshops will provide a platform to:
- Connect & collaborate with researchers from UoE and UQ working in health and wellbeing.
- Explore funding opportunities for joint initiatives through the QUEX Institute and beyond.
- Develop shared research ideas that foster international, high-impact partnerships.
- Address real-world challenges in translating health research into practice.
Asynchronous Networking:
To make the most out of the live workshops and foster connections beyond them, we are also facilitating asynchronous networking opportunities:
- Research Team Showcases – Featuring research clusters from both institutions to highlight areas of shared expertise and potential collaboration.
- Staff Spotlights – Researchers from UoE and UQ are invited to submit a short 3-4-minute video introducing their work, how it aligns with I-THRIVE, and what they hope to gain from the collaboration.
These videos will be shared prior to and between workshops to help participants identify potential research synergies and collaborators to work with during the live workshops.
If you haven’t yet submitted a Staff Spotlight video, but are keen to enhance your visibility internationally, there’s still time to do so! Please email Dr Samantha van Beurden (s.b.vanbeurden@exeter.ac.uk) for details.
Join the I-THRIVE on Microsoft Teams
To stay connected, access workshop materials, and network with other researchers, all participants will be added to the I-THRIVE Team on Microsoft Teams. This space will serve as a hub for ongoing discussions, collaboration opportunities, and updates related to the workshops and beyond.
