Overview:

I am a first year PhD student at the University of Exeter Living Systems Institute funded via a studentship from the Complex Living Systems PhD programme. My research focus is on establishing the molecular mechanisms underlying heterogenous antibiotic uptake in bacteria. I employ a range of interdisciplinary techniques including microfluidics, flow cytometry, omics and modelling in my research.

Before joining the Living Systems Institute, I graduated with a BSc (Hons) Biological Sciences with Professional Placement degree from the University of Exeter and was a recipient of the Royal Society of Biology Top Student Award 2020.

Key project:

Establishing the molecular mechanisms of heterogenous antibiotic uptake in bacteria.
