Shuyi Guo

I am currently a visiting PhD student at the Centre for Water Systems at the University of Exeter under the supervision of Prof. Guangtao Fu.

I hold a Bachelor's degree in Water Supply and Drainage Science and Engineering from Tongji University and am pursuing a PhD in Municipal Engineering at Tongji University. My doctoral research focuses on developing advanced modeling and optimization techniques for urban water distribution systems.

Specifically, my work involves the construction, computation acceleration, and rapid calibration of large-scale urban water distribution network (WDN) models. By leveraging innovative approaches such as parallel computation and deep learning, I aim to overcome key challenges in real-time WDN modeling and operations.
