Exeter Sustainable Finance Centre (ESF)

The Exeter Sustainable Finance (ESF) Centre applies rigorous research to influence the practice of sustainable and responsible finance.

It brings together expertise in the field of sustainable finance research delivered through major University of Exeter research groups aligned to this area, including the University of Exeter Business School’s Land, Environment, Economics and Policy Institute (LEEP), the National Interdisciplinary Circular Economy Research Hub (NICER) and researchers at the University’s Global Systems Institute and the Environmental and Sustainability Institute.

The Centre offers undergraduate and postgraduate courses on sustainable finance and investments, corporate governance, and other finance topics.

The ESF Centre is based at the University of Exeter Business School and is Directed by Professor Chendi Zhang.

The Alliance was founded in 2017 by a network of global research universities in order to promote rigorous and highly impactful academic research on sustainable finance and investment.
