Hollie Calley

Hollie Calley

Postgraduate Researcher
Mathematics and Statistics

Hollie is a second-year PhD student in the Maths and Statistics department. Her research focuses on modelling using Chain Event Graphs (CEGs), a novel type of Bayesian graphical model developed for its interpretability. Specifically, she is intending to extend the current theory underpinning CEGs in order to model both spatially, and spatio-temporally. Currently, she is developing an R package to increase the ease of use of applying these types of models, and is particularly interested in modelling different types of crime.

Hollie graduated from Exeter University in 2023 with an MMath in Mathematics. She is supervised by Prof. Daniel Williamson and Dr Victoria Volodina.
