Mathematics and Statistics
I am a PhD student in Statistics working on "Statistical post-processing of ensemble forecasts of compound weather risk" under supervision of Frank Kwasniok (University of Exeter), Chris Ferro (University of Exeter), Gavin Evans (Met Office) and Jamie Kettleborough (Met Office). I am funded through an EPSRC DTP studentship with a CASE partnership from the UK Met Office.
I hold an MSc in Data Science from University College London where I became interested in statistical methods for climate and weather science. Before that I studied for a BSc in Mathematics from Technical University Berlin and a BA in Philosophy and Political Science from Free University Berlin. I also worked as a research analyst in the PACTA team at the 2° Investing Initiative (now at RMI) and at the german NGO Serlo Education.
Check out the ibicus package for the bias adjustment of climate models and associated evaluation. It is available via PyPI with documentation on readthedocs.
