Overview:
I research cognitive health and ageing, with a particular focus on detecting the early changes in cognition that might lead to decline or dementia in later life, and how these can be reduced. I lead the online PROTECT study of older adults in the UK and I have published widely in the dementia field. My background includes microbiology, biology, communications and digital research which brings together in a unique combination in my work.
