Julia Hopkin is Data Support Officer in the Digital Humanities Lab and part of the Library team. She supports funded research and digitisation projects across the HASS faculty by managing data, developing online resources, and archiving digital outputs. She has expertise in advanced imaging for cultural heritage, including 2D photography, photogrammetry and RTI.
Her research investigates textile production in European prehistory and the Early Medieval period, using experimental archaeology and advanced digital methods for analysis as well as engaging wider audiences in heritage.
