iTrent
iTrent is the system that PGR students use to record their holiday, short-term sickness absence and other leave. The Researcher Development Programme for PGRs’ learning events are also booked via iTrent. iTrent is straightforward to use, but there is an iTrent Self Service PGR User guide to support you with using the system.
Access to iTrent is via single sign-on. If you have more than one username (e.g., PTAs), you must ensure you use your student username and password.
Log in to iTrent here.
You no longer need to log in to the Virtual Private Network (VPN) to access iTrent. Should you need to use the VPN for another reason you can access information about how to use VPN on the University’s webpages.
You will be able to log your annual leave, report short-term sickness absence and record other leave (for example Jury Service or Compassionate Leave) within the iTrent system. Note that iTrent does not notify supervisors when an absence is entered, so students must ensure that they discuss all absences with their supervisors.
If you are a DClinPsy student, you will also be able to record your Study Leave in the system. Please note that longer-term absences of one month or more will still be recorded as Interruptions and should be requested via the MyPGR system.
The Researcher Development Programme for PGRs is listed on our webpages. Please see our Upcoming courses page for a list of sessions bookable through PGR iTrent. Online resources and recordings of previous sessions are available through ELE and researcher-development.co.uk.
If you have any specific access or dietary requirements, please ensure that you record these in your profile on PGR iTrent.
We have an iTrent Self Service PGR User guide to support you with using the system.
If you are struggling to access the system or have further questions, please contact doctoral.college@exeter.ac.uk.
