Sam Young
Centre Administrator
As Centre Administrator Sam deals with all aspects of organisation for the EI CDT, including event management, student recruitment and registration, external speaker engagement and catering. Being responsible for the EI mailbox, SharePoint site and Webpages. Sam is the first point of contact for student queries and management/director requests. Sam works closely with other University departments to ensure the smooth running of the EI CDT.
Having worked over 25 years in various administration roles, Sam brings a wealth of experience to the team. With a University career spanning over the last 8 years, joining the EI CDT in March 2022.
Sam has an interest in Social Sciences, having obtained a BSc (Hons) in Criminology and Social Policy and recently a MA in Crime and Justice.

Cecilia Chow
Centre Administrator
Cecilia is the Centre Administrator for the EI CDT. Prior to her role in this programme, she was a Senior Career Advisor for the BioLaunch Fellows Programme at the University of California, Davis, where she taught and advised biosciences undergraduates. She earned her Master of Arts in Teaching from the University of Southern California and her Bachelor of Science in Physiology and Neuroscience with a minor in Psychology from the University of California, San Diego.
Cecilia has over fifteen years of teaching experience in primary and secondary classrooms and enrichment programmes. She has taught as a high school science teacher, STEAM programme instructor, SAT bootcamp instructor, refugee outreach tutor, university teaching assistant, and instructional aide in special education classrooms. She is passionate about supporting students in their education and beyond. In her free time, she enjoys being with friends and family, exploring new cities, and going on food adventures.
